Our B2B and B2C eCommerce solutions integrate various accounting/ERP packages such as SAP, SYSPRO and Sage, connecting seamlessly with ecommerce channels such as WooCommerce, Shopify and Magento, as well as marketplaces including Takealot and Amazon. Additionally, we offer our own B2B trade store, enabling clients to synchronise inventory and orders effectively.
The role
Stock2Shop is seeking an experienced leader to drive aggressive sales growth and lead a high-performing sales team. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a key leadership role, working closely with the CEO and CTO/Founder to shape the company’s growth. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter with a strong network of relevant clients and a proven ability to deliver results.
Job description
As the Commercial Manager / Director, you will lead Stock2Shop’s ambitious growth efforts in South Africa and also internationally, taking complete ownership of all sales, revenue generation and marketing. A key focus will be expanding our core client base including securing new, large enterprise clients seeking custom or pre-built integration solutions. This senior-level role demands strategic vision, a strong sales track record and exceptional leadership skills to drive team performance and revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Own all revenue generation activities across the company, driving top-line growth.
- Identify, engage, and secure new Enterprise level clients, leveraging your network.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, consisting of both inbound and outbound opportunities
- Design and implement scalable sales processes to achieve strategic objectives.
- Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team, ensuring they achieve targets and KPIs.
Marketing
- Plan, manage and execute the company’s marketing strategy.
- Oversee marketing strategies to generate high-quality leads and drive brand awareness.
- Optimise advertising campaigns (Google Ads etc) for maximum ROI and cost efficiency.
- Oversee the creation of content and website updates, ensuring they are SEO-optimised and aligned with growth goals..
- Use tools such as HubSpot and Google Analytics to track KPIs, refining strategies based on performance insights.
Financial
- Work with the CEO to develop the annual Sales and Marketing plan and budget.
- Manage the Sales and Marketing budget on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor performance metrics, providing regular updates on business growth and revenue progress.
Other
- Contribute to senior management initiatives, shaping the overall business strategy.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging trends and competitor activities, refining strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Work closely with the technical support and software development teams to align sales strategies with client needs and ensure seamless onboarding.
About You
- You are passionate about sales, with a proven track record delivering outstanding results. You thrive in entrepreneurial environments and know how to balance data-driven decisions with building strong relationships.
Your skills and experience
- Extensive sales leadership experience, ideally in SaaS, ecommerce or technology-driven environments.
- 10+ years of B2B software technology sales experience, ideally with a focus on B2B SaaS.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong experience in securing and managing large enterprise clients.
- A track record of successfully identifying and closing large enterprise deals.
- Skilled in inbound and outbound sales strategies, including lead generation and prospecting.
- Ability to build and lead a high-performance sales team.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
- Experienced in working with Google Ads, Linkedin and Google Suite of reporting tools.
- Understanding of ERP systems, ecommerce platforms and integration technologies (specific experience a plus)
- Experience in international markets and managing overseas clients is an advantage.
- Proficient in CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce (advantageous).
