Case Study: Headwear24
Headwear24 is the largest headwear manufacturer in Africa, with factories both in South Africa and China. They specialise in producing high quality products, as well as facilitating a number of customisations, including embroidery, screen printing, silicon printing, transfers, patching and flocking.
The challenge
Headwear24 sells products on two separate WooCommerce websites. They need a way to keep the data on both online channels up to date in near-real time so that if someone buys an item on one website, the reduction in stock is communicated to the other site within a few minutes.
The goals
- Sync stock levels from a custom database to both online sales channels
- Sync different price lists to each website
- Sync orders from each website back to Stock2Shop, which then drops them off as flat files at an FTP location
The solutions
Headwear24 uses an ERP that provides periodic XML flat file updates. Stock2hop is able to consume these updates and distribute the data to specified WooCommerce websites. Stock2Shop ensures that the pricing and stock availability on the Headwear24 online sales channels are accurate. When a product is sold on one channel, the order is dropped off at an FTP location.
Sync products
- Stock adjustments in the Headwear24 ERP are communicated to each WooCommerce website.
- Each website is assigned to a different price list, enabling Headwear24 to sell a product at different price points on each site.
Sync orders
- Order flat files are dropped off at an FTP location where they are consumed by the Headwear24 ERP.
- Orders are only synced if the status on WooCommerce is “processing” (paid).
