The challenge

Salon Only specialises in creating branded online services for hair salons. This includes providing a branded website, complete with an ecommerce shop that is populated with products. All that is required from each salon is that customers are directed to their website to make purchases, and Salon Only takes care of the fulfillment. The salons don’t need to worry about keeping stock, setting pricing, arranging deliveries or handling returns. Salon Only takes care of it all, and pays a commission to each salon based on revenue generated. The challenge for Salon Only is to ensure that the product data across the multiple WooCommerce websites is continuously kept up to date and accurate.

  • Automate orders from each website into the Salon Only ERP.

The solutions

Stock2Shop worked with Salon Only to streamline their workflow, as well as to overcome their pricing and inventory challenges.

Sync products

  • Salon Only populates each website with similar products, and they needed a way to keep product data updated from a central system. After syncing their product data onto Stock2Shop, they are able to enrich it with images and other information in a central place until it is ready to be presented online. These changes are then synced to all the relevant salon websites.
  • When price or stock availability changes on the Salon Only ERP, these updates are received by Stock2Shop and sent to the various salon websites in near-real time. No room for human error, no time-consuming delays.
  • When new products become available for sale, they can be added to many websites with ease. And when products become obsolete, they can be removed from all the channels by simply adjusting a field on Sage Evolution.

Sync orders

  • With so many salons receiving a feed of product data, it is important that orders are automatically raised into the Salon Only ERP. Each website’s orders are funnelled into its own debtors account on Sage, making it easy to do recons and process commissions.
  • Because orders are raised into the Salon Only ERP in almost real time, the accounting system’s inventory levels are alway accurate. These stock levels are then continuously synced to the websites, ensuring that they don’t oversell.
